Fire and Blood
“Woman?” She chuckled. “Is that meant to insult me? I would return the slap, if I took you for a man.” Dany met his stare. “I am Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the Unburnt, Mother of Dragons, khaleesi to Drogo’s riders, and queen of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.”
Dany…Dany was my first favorite character. It was the first who i felt emotionally connected to and the first who identified myself with. Dany’s journey is quite amazing for it is the Journey from childhood to adulthood and a journey of learning that you are the only one who can help yourself, that you shouldn’t rely on others too ‘save’ you. That’s basically her journey in book 1 and season 1, she becomes stronger and stronger with all the adversity that’s thrown in front of her because she learns with it.
My favorite moment is the one with Mirri Maz Duur (“You knew what i was buying and you knew the price”) because they are both right and that makes that moment very tragic but also defines Daenerys a little. She now understands that no matter what good intentions she may have, not everyone is going to like what you do and that sometimes good intentions aren’t enough. This prepares her for what she is met in Astapor and Mereen (and a little bit of Qarth through Xaro Xhoan Daxos) with the freeing of the slaves. She is not surprised by the hostility for she has learned that what, for her, is good, might not be for other people.
So basically Dany is a strong, powerful woman who i love but sometimes you can see that she is still a child (she is 15/16 in A Dance with Dragons i believe) or teenager XD

Elia Martell (Aishwarya Rai- Umrao Jaan) - The Queen that should have been

Elia cradled Aegon to her chest as she watched Rhaenys play with two wooden dragons. This room was once her husband’s solar, but it had been abandoned for some time now, when he had abandoned them.
Rhaenys giggled in delight as she played with her toys, but Elia never shared the fondness her innocent daughter possessed.
As a child, she had fever dreams, many of which included grotesque nightmares of dragons. They would never harm her, no, but they surrounded her, controlled her, scared her half to death.
By some twist of fate, Elia grew up to become the wife of a dragon, a mother of two dragons, and now, as she sat with her children, as guards stood at the door outside, Elia had now become the prisoner of one, too. Her husband had been kind - when he was present, at least - and her children were beautiful, but Aerys Targaryen was neither kind nor beautiful. He was deranged and angry, and those were two very dangerous things to be, when one possessed the power that he did.
When one of her ladies-in-waiting came and told her that her uncle was marching towards the Trident with a host of Dornishmen at his back, she realised her role in this game. She was security. She was insurance, and little more.
Her nightmares returned that night.
Grotesque dragons flanked her, surrounded her, and Elia swore she could feel the heat of their flames licking her skin. But suddenly, a mountainous shadow swallowed them whole, and in the end, it was not the dragons’ flames that consumed her; instead, a rabid, fierce lion appeared, and she awoke with a jolt as it sank its teeth into her flesh.
